Submitting Tax-Exempt Certificates
UPDATED: 22 February 2016
Pitney Bowes may be required or permitted to collect sales and similar taxes on the equipment we sell, rent and lease. If your organization is exempt and such exemption exempts Pitney Bowes from having to pay such taxes to governmental agencies, we must have a record of your exemption certificate on file. The exemption form must be for the same physical address where your equipment is located. Each location must provide separate certificates if locations are in a different city and/or state.
Certificates should be made out to Pitney Bowes and must include your account number and contact information.
Exemption requests are typically processed in seven (7) days. Please note, for leases, any account changes will be reflected on the next quarterly lease statement.
Tax-exempt certificates can be submitted through the following channels:
- Fax: Certificates can be expedited by faxing a copy of the tax certificate: 203-749-7599
- Email: Certificates can be emailed: firstname.lastname@example.org
