Pitney Bowes' GeoVision® dataset is an enhanced version of PSMA’s Geoscape® product, especially designed to simplify and enhance the experience of using this nationally important new dataset.

Geoscape is Australia’s only nationwide representation of the built environment. GeoVision will provide a complete picture of every building at an unprecedented level of accuracy and detail including details of height and roofing material. Details of land cover and trees as well as presence of solar panels and swimming pools mean that GeoVision will be an absolutely invaluable data resource for many sectors.

GeoVision will be available and maintained not only for urban areas but all regional, rural and remote areas within Australia.

Structure

The structure of GeoVision has been simplified to enable it to be utilised directly without the need for complex queries or the definition of views and all of the linkages such as address and cadastral information have been populated thus saving significant effort when utilising the data.

Enhancements

Pitney Bowes has also enhanced Geoscape to include postcode, locality and census boundary information to simplify reporting and analysis.

GeoVision provides a vector polygon outline of every building with the following attributes:

Landcover and Tree Height (as a GeoTIFF and enhanced as a Pitney Bowes MRR- Multi Resolution Raster, to enhance performance)
