  • Printing error messages
  • Labels not printing in Safari or Firefox
  • Other printing problems

Cause

Various setup issues can cause labels to print incorrectly.

Resolution

Label printing issues:

Labels print too small

If your labels print too small, the wrong paper size may be selected. To correct this:

  1. Select Settings > Label Options.
  2. If the Choose Format menu is set to Plain Paper - 8.5 x 11, select Roll - 4 x 6.

If Plain Paper - 8.5 x 11 is always selected by default, you can change this to 4 x 6 by adjusting your shipping label printing defaults. See:

Red light on printer

If the red light on a Datamax w1110 printer is on and it will not print, see:

If the red light on a Brother QL-1050 printer is on, see the QL-1050 Red Light Troubleshooting guide.

Image parts or text missing from printed label

If your label looks correct in Adobe Reader, but when printed, some image parts are missing (barcocde, stamp, Canada Post logo, etc.), or some letters or text appears as empty boxes, see:

Printing error messages

If you receive the error "Print driver host for 32bit applications has stopped working" or "Print driver host for applications has stopped working", see:

If you receive the error "Oops! Something went wrong", see:

If you receive the error "You don't have the right printer connected for your label size", see:

Labels not printing in Safari or Firefox

If your 4 x 6 labels do not print in Safari or Firefox, see:

Other printing problems

If you have other printing problems with a Brother QL-1050 printer, such as poor print quality, labels not aligned, jams, or flashing lights, see the Troubleshooting section of the QL-1050 Label Printer User Guide.

If you have problems with a Datamax w1110 printer, such as poor print quality, labels not aligned, jams, or flashing LED indicator lights, see the Troubleshooting section of the Datamax Workstation Series User Guide.
