How to resolve an Inspection Due or Inspection Required on the DM400, DM500 and more

Products affected: DM400™, DM500™, DM550™, DM800™, DM800i™, DM900™, DM1000™, and DM1100™
Canada Post™ regulations require that a meter be inspected periodically, 60 to 90 days. This inspection occurs automatically whenever the meter is refilled with postage or the system connects to the Data Center to perform a balance inquiry.

Follow the add postage process; connect your system to an analog phone line OR Network (Internet) connection.
  1. Press the Funds key
  2. Select Get Postage by Phone Balance
  3. Select Done when the Balance screen is displayed
  4. Follow any additional screen prompts
