Error 0E4C, how to clear the error on the DM400, DM500, and more

Products affected: DM400™, DM500™, DM550™, DM800™, DM800i™, DM900™, DM1000™, and DM1100™


The meter displays error 0E4C and will not print.


Due to a Canada Post security requirement, this error will appear when printing postage and funds has not been added in over 1 year (365 days).


To clear out this error code, a minimum of $1 (or more funds can be downloaded if necessary) must be added to the meter. It does not mean that you are out of postage.

Follow these steps on how to add postage
If your issue is not resolved, contact customer support from 8 am to 8 pm Eastern Time. Have your model number ready.
