How to resolve a blank display on a DM400, DM500, and more
Products affected: DM400™, DM500™, DM550™, DM800™, DM800i™, DM900™, DM1000™, and DM1100™
Issue
The display is blank, or appears dead.
Cause
The display is not getting power.
Resolution
If the meter is off the base:
- Ensure the a/c adapter is connected tightly at the back of the meter, the wall outlet, and where the two parts of the a/c cord join
- If still no power/no display, try the meter on the base
- Check the On/Off switch on the left side of the machine. The switch should be on "I" for On.
- Pull the plug out, and then re-plug. Ensure the plug is pushed in tightly.
- Try another power outlet, preferably a direct wall outlet (not a power strip). A single outlet in a power strip can burn out.
