PEARL RIVER, N.Y., December 2, 2019 – Syncsort today closed the acquisition of the Pitney Bowes software and data business, creating a powerhouse data management software company with more than 11,000 enterprise customers, $600 million in revenue and 2,000 employees worldwide. The transaction is backed by affiliates of Centerbridge Partners, L.P. and Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. For most customers, there will not be any changes to your relationship with Pitney Bowes Software & Data at this time, including the terms of your contract and the team of individuals who support you each day.
If you are located in Germany, Japan, Australia or Brazil, the part of Pitney Bowes Software & Data that you transact with will change effective immediately. You will shortly be receiving information regarding the new entity that will be fulfilling your contract with Pitney Bowes Software & Data, and any further documentation that may be necessary to reflect the change. Otherwise, at this time, the terms of your contract with Pitney Bowes Software & Data, and the team of individuals that support you will remain the same.
3. I am a client of both Pitney Bowes Software & Data and Syncsort. Who is my point of contact going forward?
For now, nothing changes, and you should continue to contact the same representatives at each company who support the solutions you receive. For example, any Syncsort solutions requests should be sent to your Syncsort representative; and any Pitney Bowes Software & Data requests should be sent to your Pitney Bowes representative.
4. As a Pitney Bowes Software & Data partner, how does this news impact me?
For now, nothing changes. All Pitney Bowes Software & Data partner agreements will continue in effect without modification, except for those whose contracting entity will be assigned over to a new Syncsort entity. Any partner subject to an entity change will be notified shortly. Long term strategy decisions and exploring synergy within the new organization will be taking place in 2020 and beyond.
5. As a Pitney Bowes Software & Data supplier, how does this news impact me?
For now, nothing changes. Generally, Pitney Bowes Software & Data supplier agreements will continue in effect without modification. Beginning in 2020, we anticipate communicating further change impacts, which may involve modifications to the procure to pay processes.
6. Will my current team at Pitney Bowes Software & Data still support me?
Yes. All current and proposed/scheduled projects will continue to operate as planned.
Rest assured that our goal is to make this change seamless for our clients, suppliers and partners, and we will ensure you receive the right level of support you need moving forward.
7. When will the support we receive transfer to Syncsort? How will my SLAs be impacted?
With the exception of Australia, all SLA support transferred to Syncsort on 2 December 2019. There should be no impact to any contracted SLAs in place, and it’s our intent to continue the same level of support you’ve always received.
8. If I have an existing renewal, will that be done with Software & Data or with Syncsort?
If the renewal is scheduled for after 2 December 2019, the renewal will be made with Syncsort, unless you are located in Australia. If you are in Australia and your renewal is scheduled during the month of December 2019, you will make that renewal with the same Pitney Bowes entity you have previously.
9. Where do I go for technical support help?
Clients should continue to engage the support community in the same way that they have in the past. There are no changes being announced now that will impact those processes.
