Taking advantage of our lease scheme is a great way of paying for your Pitney Bowes equipment and, like most lease schemes, this means that you have an obligation under the contract to protect your leased equipment from loss, damagef or destruction and provide us with proof of insurance.

A simple and easy way of waiving your obligation to get insurance on your equipment is with Pitney Bowes’ ValueMAXSM programme.

ValueMAXSM will ensure that your equipment is quickly repaired or replaced if it is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed, at any time during your lease*. Your Pitney Bowes' leased equipment represents a significant investment, so it makes good business sense to ensure that your equipment is fully operational, whatever happens.
The benefits of ValueMAXSM
ValueMAXSM is not insurance, but once you compare the benefits of ValueMAXSM to traditional equipment insurance, the benefits are clear. With ValueMAXSM there is:

  • All Round Cover – from damage by fire or flood to theft, ValueMAXSM covers all forms of loss or damage to the equipment. 
  • No Third Party Involvement – by eliminating the middle man, your equipment will be repaired or replaced quicker. 
  •  No Minimum Loss Size and No Excess – any and all repairs or replacement are covered and, unlike most insurance policies, there is no excess to pay. 
  •  No Price Increases – the price of ValueMAXSM will remain the same throughout the life of your lease, unlike insurance which increases every year. 
  •  Convenience – it can be conveniently included in your lease rental payment so that it is paid over the life of the lease, whereas insurance companies generally charge a premium for paying in instalments. 

The ValueMAXSM program is straightforward
We will replace or repair the equipment at no additional cost to you if it is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed for any reason, but not if the loss is a result of normal wear and tear, gross negligence or wilful misconduct. In instances where a replacement is necessary, we will provide you with a replacement even if the equipment price has since increased. With ValueMAXSM no adjustment will be made for the age of the equipment and there's no excess to pay.

Answers to frequently asked questions

1.  What is the difference between ValueMAXSM and a Maintenance/Service Agreement?

If you have a Maintenance/Service Agreement on your equipment, this will cover the cost of servicing your equipment. In other words, if your equipment breaks down, Pitney Bowes will fix or replace it. It will not cover you for the damage to or loss, theft or destruction of that equipment, that is what ValueMAXSM provides.

2. How do I initiate the replacement of my equipment?

The process is easy. Simply call Pitney Bowes on 08444 992 992 (Option 1) and one of our trained representatives from the Customer Services Team will ensure your equipment is repaired or replaced quickly and hassle free. You will not have to pay any delivery, repair or reinstallation/installation fees, any excesses, or incur any adjustment allowances for the age of the equipment.

What will happen next if you are a limited company?
You are under no obligation to accept ValueMAXSM, provided you furnish us with proof of a comprehensive insurance policy under which the equipment is covered to its full replacement value, within 30 days of your equipment being delivered. To take advantage of the many benefits of ValueMAXSM, the fee will be included with your future rentals, and your payments to us will confirm your ongoing participation in this valuable programme. If you pay by direct debit, a revised schedule of Value Added Tax will be sent to you as notification of an amendment to your direct debit mandate.
What will happen next if you a sole trader of partnership?
You will not automatically benefit from ValueMaxSM protection. If you would like to cover your leased Pitney Bowes equipment, contact our Customer Services Team on 08444 992 992 (Option 4).
