Under the MOU, Pitney Bowes will set up its network infrastructure to enable Indian postal franking meter users to remotely recharge franking machines without having to physically carry them to Post office. This new generation digital franking meters are state-of-the-art and intelligent. Built upon the proven “Postage By Phone(TM)" remote resetting platform, the meters are the gateway to a world of value-added products and innovative services to users and India Post.

Digital Postage Meters powered by “Postage By Phone” offers India Post critical information on customer mail profile that can help the department protect and grow revenue, offer new services, build customer loyalty, and enhance operational efficiency. At the same time it offers users convenience and cost savings, access discounts and incentives on postal products and services.
