Vice President and President, Pitney Bowes Mailing, North America
Pat Brand is President of Pitney Bowes Mailing, North America. In this role, he is responsible for a large and diverse portfolio of physical and digital mailing and shipping products, software, financial and business services that support 1.2 million commercial, nonprofit, and government customers in North America.
A 30-year veteran of the company, Pat previously led Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies (DMT), where he was responsible for all aspects of the business including products, sales and service channels worldwide. In his tenure as President, he drove significant growth in a consolidating market and brought customer satisfaction to the highest levels in the industry.
Before joining DMT, Pat was Vice President of Postal Payment Solutions, where he managed a suite of financial services products. Before that, he was Vice President, Marketing, for Office Direct, leading the team that developed and launched the Personal Post Office. Between 1983 and 1999, Pat served in a variety of functional roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of Corporate Finance, Copier & Supplies, Direct Response Marketing, Small Business Marketing, and Product Management.
Before joining Pitney Bowes in 1983, Pat worked at Deloitte Touche as a Certified Public Accountant and Consultant.
Pat earned Bachelor of Science and M.B.A. degrees in Accounting/Finance from the University of Connecticut. A holder of five Pitney Bowes patents, he is a recipient of the company’s prestigious One Standard Excellence Award. He serves on the board of directors of the World Affairs Forum, a Stamford, CT-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to expand the understanding of global affairs and America’s role in the world. Pat also serves as the Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Electronic Document Scholarship Foundation Board (EDSF), the programs of which are designed to attract the best and brightest to the industry by granting scholarships, fostering education, promoting research, recognizing leaders, encouraging innovation, and garnering and disseminating knowledge to help build the next generation of digital content and delivery professionals.
