Setting up a wired network connection with SmartLink on the DM50/DM55, DM60 and DM100

To configure a wired connection with a SmartLink™ device:
  1. Connect your SmartLink™ device to an internet jack on the wall or a router with the included network cable.

  1. Plug one end of the power cord into your SmartLink device and the other end into a power outlet.

  • Your SmartLink device’s lights change color.
  • Once your device connects to the internet, the Network Connectivity light User-added image blinks green.
  • Your SmartLink device’s Ethernet port lights display green for successful connection status and yellow for network activity.
  1. Plug one end of the USB cable into your SmartLink device and the other end into the back of the franking machine.

  • Your SmartLink device’s lights change colour.
  • Once a network connection has been established, your SmartLink device’s USB Connectivity light USB connectivity icon  turns green, and the Network Connectivity light User-added image blinks green.

  1. Attach your SmartLink device to your franking machine with the adhesive fastener strips.
