The Lock Code feature prevents unauthorised access to the system after the meter has entered sleep mode, or when it is powered up.
Once a lock code is set, to lock the meter press the
Power / Lock button (to the right of the Page Up/Down keys) and select
Lock the meter.
To unlock, wake the meter by pressing any key, enter the 4-digit pin and press the
Yes/Enter key.
Follow these instructions to learn how to set, change or disable a lock code on your meter.To access the Lock Code menu
: - Press the Options key.
- Press Page Down twice.
- Select Lock Code / Passwords.
- Select Meter Lock Code.
To activate the Lock Code feature and set a Lock Code:
- If the Lock Code feature is not yet enabled, the Meter Lock Code menu will display Enter New Lock Code.
- Enter a new 4-digit Lock Code and select Continue.
- Re-enter the new Lock Code to confirm and select Continue.
- The meter confirms that the Lock Code has been enabled. Select Continue.
- Press the Home key to return to the Home screen.
To change the Lock Code: - At the Lock Code / Passwords menu, select Meter Lock Code. If there is an existing Lock Code, the system prompts for the 4-digit code.
- Select Change Lock Code.
- At the prompt, enter a new 4-digit Lock Code and select Continue.
- Re-enter the new Lock Code to confirm and select Continue.
- The meter confirms that the Lock Code has been changed. Select Continue.
- Press Home to return to the Home screen.
To disable the Lock Code: - At the Lock Code / Passwords menu, select Meter Lock Code. If there is an existing Lock Code, the system prompts for the 4-digit code.
- Select Disable Lock Code.
- At the prompt, enter the 4-digit Lock Code and select Continue.
- The meter confirms that the Lock Code has been disabled. Select Continue.
- Press Home to return to the Home screen.
