Clearing envelopes from the vertical envelope transport on the DI900, DI950, and Relay 5000-8000

Learn how to clear envelopes from the vertical envelope transport on the DI900 and DI950.

Products affected: DI900™, DI950™, Relay™ 5000, Relay™ 6000, Relay™ 7000, Relay™ 8000

Clear any material stalled in the vertical envelope transport section of your inserter.
Watch the following video or follow the steps here.

Squeeze the 2 blue handles to release the roller pressure on the envelopes.
Remove any stalled envelopes.

Note: Due to the tight clearance, it is easier to remove envelopes one at a time.

After removing any material, open the access door on the back of the HCEF (high capacity envelope feeder) and check for additional stalled pieces.

If material is stalling in this area frequently, adjust the HCEF separator gap to prevent two envelopes being fed at the same time.
