Troubleshooting stalls on the Relay 3000-4000

Issue

The machine is experiencing feeding issues or jams.

Cause

The side guides are incorrectly adjusted.

Resolution

Watch this video to learn how to clear the jam and adjust the side guides, or follow the directions after the video.



To clear the jam:
  1. Remove the insert feeder tray.
  2. Remove the fold plate.
  3. Open envelope inverter access door.
  4. >Lift the tinted plastic cover to access the insertion and sealing areas.
  5. Lift the Q-station.
  6. Remove and inspect the stalled material.
To adjust the side guides:
  1. Turn the blue knob and adjust the insert feeder side guides to within 1/8 inch (3mm) of the sides of the material.
  2. Turn the blue knob and adjust the sheet feeder side guides to within 1/8 inch (3mm) of the sides of the sheets.
  3. Turn the blue knob and adjust the envelope feeder side guides To within 1/8 (3mm) inch of the envelopes.
