Withdrawing postage funds on your cancelled DM300M

Learn how to withdraw postage funds on your cancelled DM300M.

Important: It is mandatory for your franking machine to be returned to Pitney Bowes after use. If you are cancelling your contract, you must have confirmation of your contract termination before withdrawing funds and returning any equipment.

The process should take approximately ten minutes to complete.

Print a record of postage

To obtain a record of the amount of postage in your franking machine, print the Funds report.

  1. Press Options.
  2. Press Reports.
  3. Select Funds Report.
  4. When prompted, insert an envelope or tape sheet into the franking machine.
  5. Do you want to print another report? appears. Press No.
  6. The report is prints and you return to the Home screen.

Print an account report

If you require a record of the accounting values from your franking machine, print an Account report.

  1. Press Options.
  2. Press Reports.
  3. To print a report for an individual account, select Single Account.
  4. To print a report giving all accounts values, select Multi Acct Summary.
  5. When prompted, insert an envelope or tape sheet into the franking machine.
  6. Do you want to print another report? appears. Press No.
  7. The report is prints and you return to the Home screen.

Withdraw the remaining funds from your franking machine

Note: This step will deactivate your franking machine and manage the refund of any outstanding credit from your old franking machine. This will be in the form of a refund from the Royal Mail.

Connect your as you normally would for a postage refill.

  1. Press Options.
  2. Press Page Down twice.
  3. Select Advanced Features.
  4. Select Meter Withdrawal.
  5. Select Continue. The franking machine connects to Pitney Bowes. This may take a few minutes.
  6. If the transfer is complete, select Print Receipt and follow the display prompts.
  7. If you see a different message, attempt step 2 once more. If the problem reoccurs the withdrawal process may have been unsuccessful. There is no cause for concern as any remaining funds will be credited upon receipt of your franking machine at our returns centre. Please proceed to step 3.

Disconnect cables

  1. Remove all cables from the rear of your franking machine.
  2. Remove the Scale.
