Clear "Connection Required", "Data Upload Required", "Inspection Required" or "P201F" messages on your meter

United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland postal regulations require that the meter connects regularly. This inspection occurs automatically when your meter is refilled with postage, when your system connects to the Pitney Bowes Data Center to perform a balance inquiry, or when your system performs a data upload.
For United Kingdom meters, Royal Mail™ requires that every meter connect to the Pitney Bowes Data Center at the start of every month and perform a Data Capture Audit.
For United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland meters, if a connection to the Pitney Bowes Data Center does not occur within a 90 day period, the meter will display one of a number of messages, including: "Inspection Due", "Inspection Required", or error code "P201F".
To clear these errors, you need to perform a balance enquiry. Until you make a successful connection, your meter is locked and unable to print postage.
