Pitney Bowes developed the Postage By Phone (PBP) system - fast and efficient service that offers reliability and maximum user friendliness. The result: from the moment your mailing machine needs more postage to the point you're back in business takes a mere 90 seconds. With Postage By Phone, you can securely download postage directly to your mailing machine when you connect to the Data Centre.

  • Postage value can be re-charged 6 days a week between 7.00am to 8.00pm.
  • Each time Postage By Phone is used, you receive a detailed statement, including a record of your postal expenditure.
  • Over 100,000 meters are linked to Postage by Phone from Pitney Bowes to provide the postage they need at the touch of a button.

Agreed Deposit Balance
If you choose to pre-pay for your postage, you hold an agreed deposit balance with Pitney Bowes that reflects your typical monthly mailing volumes. As and when you download postage we collect the difference to ensure the balance is kept at the agreed level. For example, if your agreed deposit balance is £200, we will automatically collect £200 from your account. When you download postage we will collect the difference to ensure your balance is maintained at £200, ready for your next transaction
