Long recognized as one most influential people in geospatial technology, Joe Francica has been a proponent of location intelligence (LI) solutions for over 35 years. He founded numerous LI and Geospatial Conferences, has published and broadcast over 500 articles and podcasts on LI and has contributed to three books. Currently Managing Director of Pitney Bowes’ Location Intelligence business, Francica is also the past editor-in-chief and vice publisher of Directions Magazine and the former editor of Business Geographics Magazine. Mr. Francica earned a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in Geology, a master's degree in Earth Science from Dartmouth College, and an MBA from the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas).
Jerry Johnston

Jerry Johnston, Geospatial Technology Leader Deloitte
Jerry Johnston is a leader in the Geospatial Analytics practice at Deloitte Advisory. In this role, Dr. Johnston supports a wide range of client needs, applying advanced geospatial technologies to problems across the public and private sectors. He previously served as the Associate CIO and Geospatial Information Officer at the US Department of the Interior (DOI). In this capacity, Dr. Johnston led DOI's efforts to coordinate and implement geospatial, cloud computing and data analytics technologies across the Department to improve mission efficiency and outcomes. This includes his leadership of the National Geospatial Platform initiative, a shared services geospatial technology environment used by the whole of government (www.geoplatform.gov). Previously, Dr. Johnston was with the EPA. Dr. Johnston holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Michigan State University as well as M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Environmental Science from Indiana University, Bloomington, and was selected by the Secretary of the Interior to serve as a charter member and Vice Chair of the National Geospatial Advisory Committee (NGAC).
