How to logout of Output Manager

print
Products Affected: Output Manager

Output Manager desktop should be closed down by selecting the appropriate procedure from the Output Manager tab in the desktop.
The logoff options available to individual users are determined by the permissions accorded to them by the Administrator in the Menu access and System tabs of the Create User window.

Logoff current user
This closes the Output Manager windows and returns control to the Logon dialog.
The Output Manager Executive continues to run, so that current jobs are not interrupted.

Shutdown GUI Only
This closes the Output Manager GUI (or for a Remote Client without GUI, the Information Manager) and returns control to the Windows desktop.
The Output Manager Executive continues to run, so that current jobs are not interrupted.
Any locally hosted input or output clients also continue operating.
NOTE: If the GUI has been closed with this option, you must restart Output Manager using the User Interface Only icon.
The normal Output Manager startup procedure tries to restart the Executive and may cause harm to any running or queued processes.

Shutdown system
This closes the Output Manager Desktop, stops all current queued jobs, all hosted input or output clients, terminates the Output Manager Executive and stops the Output Manager Windows Service if Output Manager has been installed as a Windows Service.
In addition, clicking X in the top right hand corner of the Output Manager desktop invokes this shutdown procedure.
This option can be disabled by the System Administrator and is controlled by the Shutdown system option on the Menu access tab of the Create User window.

Shutdown local system
This closes the Output Manager desktop (or for a Remote Client without GUI, the Information Manager) and terminates the Output Manager Executive.
It stops all current and queued jobs and any locally hosted input or output clients.
In addition, clicking X in the top right hand corner of the Output Manager desktop will logoff the current user if the Shutdown system option has been disabled.

NOTE: For "non-as a service" installation, please wait for the EXEC Console to close down by itself upon shutting down the system.
Make sure the EXEC Console is not force to close down by clicking the "x" close button at the top right of the EXEC Console cmd.

Question

Subject: piom, job in auto-start are "sleeping" on the test server
