Resolve "No PHC" on the DM500, DM800i, DM900, DM1000 and more

Products affected: DM500™, DM525™, DM550™, DM575™, DM800™, DM800i™, DM825™, DM875™, DM900™, DM925™, DM1000™, DM1100™


The meter displays "No PHC" and will not run mail.


There is a problem with an internal component, or the meter has not connected to the Pitney Bowes Data Center for over 120 days.


You may be able to resolve the error by connecting to the Pitney Bowes Data Center:
  1. Connect your system to a network (internet) connection.
  2. Press the Funds key.
  3. Select Get Postage by Phone Balance.
  4. When the Balance screen is displayed, select Done.
  5. Follow any additional screen prompts.
If connecting to the Data Center did not clear the error, try restarting the meter. Here are the steps to follow for a safe restart:
  1. Turn the power off with the power switch.
  2. Wait for the display to turn off.
  3. Wait one minute.
  4. Turn the power switch back on.
