Your meter displays the message "Urgent - Battery Low."
Your meter's internal battery is nearing the end of its life.
Solution 1: Press the Back button
- Press your Back button to try to clear your message and run your mail temporarily.
Solution 2: Restart your meter
You may be able to clear your error by restarting your meter. Follow these steps for a safe restart:
- Unplug your power cord.
- Wait one full minute.
- Plug your power cord back in, ensuring that it is plugged directly into a wall outlet.
Solution 3: Request battery replacement service
If your battery message returns after restarting, your meter battery must be replaced. Your meter battery cannot be replaced like an ordinary household battery. It is part of the meter security device that protects your postage funds and requires technical service to replace.
To ensure uninterrupted functionality, you must request battery replacement service (free of charge). Your meter's battery enables your settings and other information to be saved; if your battery expires, you lose that information.
