How to use the attached scale on the DM500, DM525 and more

Products affected: DM500™, DM525™, DM550™, DM575™, DM800™, DM800i™, DM825™, DM875™, DM900™, DM925™, DM1000™, and DM1100™
There are two ways to use the attached scale. You can set the mode to attached scale, or you can turn on auto scale.

Follow these steps to set the mode to attached scale:
  1. Press Mode
  2. Select Attached scale. The meter prompts you to select the class and any additional services.
Follow these steps to turn on auto scale:
  1. Press Menu
  2. Select Setup
  3. Select Scale/Rate
  4. Set Auto Scale to ON
  5. Reboot the meter
Note: With auto scale turned on, if an item is placed on the scale, the meter rates the item using the currently selected class. If the current class cannot support the weight placed on the scale, the prompt to select a new class displays.
