Stuck in manual weight mode and price is stuck on 0.00 on a DM300c, DM400c, DM450c or DM475

Step 1: Check serial port settings

1. Press Menu.
2. Select Setup.
3. Press Page Down.
4. Select Serial Port.
5. Select Attached Scale.
6. Press Home.

Step 2: Reseat the scale and reboot the machine

1. Unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the scale.
3. Plug power cord back in, but keep the scale off the machine.
4. Once the machine has booted up, place the scale back on machine. Ensure that there are no gaps between the scale and the meter.
5. Check that the meter is in Scale Mode:
   1. Press the Weight Rate button.
   2. Select  Rate Mail on Scale option if present.
6. Select 1st Class.
7. Select Letter.
8. Press Enter.
9. Verify that the top of the screen displays 0 lb. 0.0 oz. If the screen does not display 0 lb 0.0 oz, Zero the Scale .

Step 3: Set a normal preset

1. Press Menu.
2. Press Page Down and select Preset Options.
3. Select Set Normal Preset.
4. Select Yes.
5. Press Home.
