Normal presets are the default settings on your meter that you define with your most commonly used values, such as postage rates and class. These normal preset values will be the default state on your mailing system when it is first powered on or after it awakens from "sleep" mode. The Postal Class setting, in addition to identifying your mail type, helps automate the preset process for future rate data changes. You can set the class according to your needs, such as First Class, Priority Mail, Parcel Post.
Note: You cannot edit a normal preset. To change it, create a new normal preset, which will replace the previous one.

Follow these steps to change the normal preset:
Define the settings that you would like to save as the normal preset:
Select a class of mail.
Note: It is recommended to define your preset using a class to ensure that the mail is rated correctly and is automatically updated when rate change updates are applied.
Select any other options you wish to save in the preset.
