Assigning presets saves time and ensures accuracy. When defining a custom preset, enter the values for the mail job that correspond to the values to be recalled in future mailings (i.e., less common jobs). Example: You can define a set of conditions so that the envelopes are sealed only with no postage applied.
Watch this video or follow the instructions below to learn how to define and store a Custom Preset on your meter. The example used in this video shows how to create a Custom Preset for a Priority Envelope Package.
Follow these steps to define custom presets:
Select the class, extra services, ads or account options you want and then press Enter.
Note: It is recommended to define your preset using a class to ensure that the mail is rated correctly and is automatically updated when rate change updates are applied.
Press Custom Presets.
Press the Right Arrow.
Select Store Current Setting to Preset.
Select an available preset.
Press Enter to save the displayed settings and return to the Home screen.
Lift the cover and type in a name for your preset.
After reviewing the settings, press Enter to store the settings. You are returned to the Home screen.
Note: Once created, a custom preset cannot be edited. If you need to change the custom preset settings, create a new custom preset.
