Weighing an ink cartridge on the DM100i-DM225

Learn how to weigh an ink cartridge on the DM100i, DM125, DM200L and DM225.

Weigh your ink cartridge to find out how much ink remains in your ink cartridge:
  1. If you have a scale on top of your meter, remove it.

  1. Open your top cover.
  2. Select Replace Ink Tank.
  3. Remove your ink cartridge.
  4. Close the latch and then the cover.
  5. Reseat your scale, if necessary.
  6. Select Seal Only Mode.
  7. Press Weigh/Rate.
  8. Place your ink cartridge on the scale.
  9. Select Rate Mail on Scale. Note the weight of your ink cartridge.
  • Full ink cartridges weigh 2.4 ounces.
  • Empty ink cartridges weigh 1.4 ounces.
  1. Remove your ink cartridge from the platform.
  2. Press Clear / Back.
  3. Select Exit Seal Only Mode to return to Install Ink Tank.
If your ink cartridge is not empty, reinstall it. If your ink cartridge is empty, install a new cartridge.
