"Inspection Due" or "Inspection Required" message on the DM500, DM525 and more

Products affected: DM500™, DM525™, DM550™, DM575™, DM800™, DM800i™, DM825™, DM875™, DM900™, DM925™, DM1000™, DM1100™, DM Infinity
USPS® regulations require that a meter be inspected periodically. This inspection occurs automatically whenever the meter is refilled with postage or the system connects to the Data Center to perform a balance inquiry.

To clear the inspection message:
  1. Connect your system to a network (internet) connection.
  2. Press the Funds key.
  3. Select Get Postage by Phone Balance.
  4. When the Balance screen is displayed, select Done.
  5. Follow any additional screen prompts.
If your issue is not resolved, contact technical support. Please have your model and serial number ready.
