Sending E-Certified Mail on the DM100i-DM225

Learn how to send E-Certified Mail on the DM100i, DM125, DM200L and DM225.
Products affected: DM100®i, DM125™, DM200L™, DM225™
  1. Place your mailpiece on the scale or enter your weight manually.
  2. Select Class.
  3. Select US Domestic.
  4. Select First Class.
  5. Select your mailpiece size.
  6. Press Page Down.
  7. Select E-Certified.
  8. Select any other special services you need.
  9. Select Done.
  10. Enter your ZIP Code and press Enter.
  11. Enter the tracking number from your E-Certified label.
  12. Run your mailpiece through your meter.
  13. Attach the top portion of the E-Certified mail label to the top of the envelope to the left of the postage, inscription, and meter ad.
Once you have finished running E-Certified mail, upload your transactions:
  1. Ensure that your system is connected to PC Meter Connect, SmartLink™ (DM100®i, DM200L™), USB Ethernet Connectivity Kit (DM125™, DM225™), or WiFi Connection Device (DM125™, DM225™) in order to communicate with the Pitney Bowes Data Center.
  2. Press Options.
  3. Press Page Down twice.
  4. Select Connect-Data Center.
  5. Select Uploads and Downloads.

Note:
  • Electronic Certified (E-Certified) Mail® is a service that can be added to First Class and Priority mail. E-Certified Mail provides proof of the date and time of delivery or attempted delivery.
  • E-Certified mail is an optional feature. Contact your Pitney Bowes sales representative for information about options and pricing.
  • Return Receipt service can be added to receive a physical confirmation of your delivery.
