The meter displays the message "Low Battery".
The internal battery is nearing the end of its life.
Pressing the Clear/Back
button may clear the message and allow you to run mail temporarily, but battery replacement service is required.
Restart the meter and see if the error returns:
- Turn the power off with the power switch.
- Wait for the display to turn off.
- Wait one full minute.
- Turn the power switch back on.
If the battery message returns after restarting, the meter battery needs to be replaced. The meter battery cannot be replaced like an ordinary household battery. It is part of the meter security device that protects your postage funds and requires technical service to replace.
To ensure uninterrupted functionality, you must request battery replacement service (free of charge). The meter's battery enables your settings and other information to be saved. If your battery is allowed to expire, you will lose that information. To request battery replacement service, create a case for technical support.
