DFWorks was showing two jobs run 10 days apart with the same mailrun ID. Also, the creation date for the first job was 10 days after the job start date.
Looked in Transaction Management details for both jobs and found that the Transaction ID for the first job run was higher than the second job run. This means that the first job was processed by DFWorks after the second job.
The first transaction had gone into the exception folder and needed to be fixed. The system administrator had fixed the first job after the second job had run and manually entered the second jobs mailrun ID and saved it.
This caused the first job to show the creation date 10 days after the start date.
