Resolve "Flash needed init version" on the DM300c, DM400c and more

Issue

The meter displays Flash needed init version or Flash needed init and will not boot up.

Cause

The internal meter software has failed.

Resolution

You may be able to clear the error by restarting your meter. Follow these steps to restart safely:
  1. Turn the power off using the power switch.
  2. Wait for the display to turn off.
  3. Wait one to three minutes.
  4. Turn the power switch back on.
If the issue is not resolved, contact customer support from 8 am to 8 pm Eastern Time. Please have your model number ready.
