How to resolve pdf-in pdfflatten error on PIOM

Issue

Job aborts when the PDF file is summited, the following warning error is received

W029270 VIPEXEC Abort message: "PDF-IN - PDFFLATTEN Error: PostScript Error: Processing Range 1: Sides 3-22" for job 172 sent to ADMINISTRATOR by PDF-IN

Cause

Missing decryption support in PDF flattener. The PDF is encrypted using 128 bit RC4 encryption without a user password. PDFFlatten is passed on the password string from PDF2VDD as a command line parameter but there is no code to register the decryption routines.

Resolution

Fix for this in PVCS and this should be available in MGR 2.5.7.
