"Waste Tank Full" or "Waste Tank Near Full" message on the mailstation series

Create a case when you see a "Waste Tank Full" or "Waste Tank Near Full" message on the mailstation or mailstation2.

Issue

The meter displays the message "Waste Tank Full" or "Waste Tank Near Full" and does not print.

Cause

Excess ink from purges and heavy use eventually fills the ink waste tank in the meter.
  • When the ink reservoir nears capacity, the meter displays the message Waste Tank Near Full.
  • When ink reservoir reaches full capacity, the meter displays the message Waste Tank Full.

Resolution

Step 1: Request a replacement

Sign in and create a technical support case to request a replacement meter as soon as either of these messages appear.

Try Step 2 to temporarily suspend the Waste Tank Near Full or Waste Tank Full messages and continue processing mail for a short time. 
 

Step 2: Clear the "Waste Tank Near Full" or "Waste Tank Full" messages

Follow these steps to clear the Waste Tank Near Full or Waste Tank Full messages so you can run mail while you wait for your replacement:
  1. Press Menu.
  2. Press Review (down) until your screen displays Use Ink Functions.
  3. Press Enter/Yes.
  4. Press Review (down) until your screen displays Replace Ink Tray.
  5. Press Enter/Yes. Your screen displays Install Ink Tray.
  6. Press Enter/Yes. Your screen displays Enter in Code From Instructions: xxxx.
  7. Enter the code ..57 (two periods must be in front of the number 57).
  8. Press Enter/Yes.
  9. At the New Waste Tray Installed? screen, press Enter/Yes.
