"Destination ABC" message on the DM100i-DM225

Enter a ZIP Code or a Zone number to resolve the "Destination ABC" message on the DM100i, DM125, DM200L, DM225.

Issue

Your meter displays the message "Destination ABC" when running mail.

Cause

For certain USPS classes and services, your meter must know the mailpiece's destination.

Resolution

For USPS classes and services that require a destination entry (such as a Priority class over 1 lb.), your system allows you to enter either a ZIP Code or a Zone number.

When the message "Destination ABC" displays, either:

  • Enter the 5-digit ZIP Code of the destination and select This is a ZIP Code, or
  • Find your Zip Zone, enter the one-digit Zone number, and then select This is a Zone.
