Handheld scanner used with SendSuite Tracking Online, SendSuite Tracking, or SendPro Enterprise will not scan in direct sunlight
If a handheld scanner will not scan in direct sunlight, you can change settings in DataWedge to allow scans in direct sunlight.
Products affected: SendSuite® Tracking, SendSuite® Tracking Online, SendPro® Enterprise
Issue
A handheld scanner used with SendSuite Tracking Online, SendSuite Tracking, or SendPro Enterprise will not scan in direct sunlight.
Resolution
Change the settings in DataWedge to allow scans in direct sunlight:
- Go to the Widget screen on the device and choose DataWedge.
- Choose the profile that is being used for the device software, e.g. PB.SSM or PB.SSTO.
- Go to Reader Parameters.
- Turn off Illumination mode.
- Select hardware.
- Save the changes.
- Test the device.
