What personal information do we collect?
When you or your company or business enter into a lease or contract with us for the provision of services, products or equipment, we may collect some or all of the following information which may be personal information:

  • name, address and telephone number
  • e-mail address and facsimile number
  • Business information relating to the operation of your business
  • Banking information, including name and address of bank and account numbers
  • credit card information
  • social insurance number
  • credit information as provided by credit reporting agencies or trade references

 

Provision of a Social Insurance Number is optional. However, you should be aware that most Credit Reporting Agencies use the Social Insurance Number as a unique identifier to ensure proper identification when conducting credit reviews and preparing credit reports. If you do not wish to provide your Social Insurance Number, our ability to obtain a timely and accurate credit report may be affected.

How do we use personal information?

Sometimes we have to share personal information with others
We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do provide personal information to consumer or credit reporting agencies in accordance with applicable provincial law. Normal Web Site Usage:
You can visit Pitney Bowes' Web site to read product and company information or use our on-line tools without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information.

The only information Pitney Bowes collects and stores during normal Web Site usage is the name of your Internet Service Provider, the web site you last visited, the pages you request and the date and time of those requests. Pitney Bowes uses this information to generate statistics and measure site activity to improve the usefulness of customer visits.
