Creating an evacuation order using the PB Companion mobile app for Smart Access Management

You can create an evacuation order to send an email, SMS message or both to staff and visitors to evacuate your premises.

You can create an evacuation order to send an email, SMS message or both to staff and visitors to evacuate your premises.

  1. If necessary, sign in to the PB Companion mobile app.
  2. Tap Evacuation.
  3. Select the location.
  4. Tap Next.
  5. Tap Start Evacuation. A message appears saying all visitors and staff members will be notified to evacuate immediately.
  6. Tap the tick box to send an evacuation email, a SMS or both to signed in staff and visitors. You can configure the content of the email and SMS in the Smart Access Management website.
    Important: Ensure the email and SMS notification status is set to Active to receive the evacuation email and SMS. See Editing custom email and SMS notifications in Smart Access Management. Tap Confirm to continue.
  7. Use the tick and cross buttons to perform a roll call. If you tap a person's name you see their contact details and also you see how long the person has been on site. Also, if they are a visitor, who the host is.
  8. Once complete, the End Evacuation button appears. Tap End Evacuation, then Confirm to continue.
  9. If necessary, tap Download Evacuation Report to download a CSV file. You can also view this report from the Smart Access Management website.
  10. Tap Done to return to the Home screen.
