Error 0311A100A4 "Printer cover open" message on the Connect+® Series, SendPro® P

This error code appears when the meter detects that the printer cover is open. To resolve this error, ensure that the cover is fully closed.

Products affected: Connect+® 500W, Connect+® 1000, Connect+® 2000, Connect+® 3000, SendPro® P1000, SendPro® P1500, SendPro® P2000, SendPro® P3000

Issue

The machine displays error code 0311-A1-00A4 "Printer cover open" and does not run mail.

Cause

The printer cover is open.

Resolution

This error code appears when the franking machine detects that the printer cover is open. Follow these steps to ensure that the cover is fully closed:

Open the printer cover and make sure that the blue handle is all the way to the left, in the down position.
Ensure that nothing blocks the printer cover and prevents it from closing.
Ensure that the printer cover is even with the other covers.
Close the printer cover.
