Installing the QL-820NWB label printer

To turn the Smart Access Management tablet on or off, follow these instructions.

If you are installing the QL-820NWB label printer for the very first time, follow these instructions.

Important: Use these instructions if your QL-820NWB label printer is not installed in a visitor kiosk.

  1. Remove all items from the box.
  2. Remove the packaging from the label printer.
  3. Connect the power supply and cable to the label printer.
  4. Hold the label printer by the front, and firmly lift the top cover.

  5. Remove the coin cell battery compartment tab.
  6. Place the label roll into the roll spool guide.
    1. Fully insert the roll spool arm into the roll spool guide.
    2. Make sure the stabilizer (1) slides into the notch of the printer.

  7. Thread the label roll through the label printer.

  8. Close the top cover.
  9. Press and hold the power button to turn the printer on. The label roll aligns automatically.

  10. Press OK at the Set Language and clock prompt.
  11. Select your language. Confirm with OK.
  12. Set the date by using the up and down arrows. Confirm with OK.
  13. Set the clock by using the up and down arrows. Confirm with OK.

Turning Template mode off

  1. Press Menu.

  2. Press the up or down arrows until Template Settings appears. Confirm with OK.
  3. Template Mode appears. Press OK.
  4. Use the up or down arrows to select Off. You return to the Home screen.

Configuring Auto power off

  1. Press Menu.
  2. Press the up or down arrows until Settings appears. Confirm with OK.
  3. Press the up or down arrows until Auto Power Off appears. Confirm with OK.
  4. Press the up or down arrows until Adapter appears. Confirm with OK.
  5. Press the up or down arrows until Off appears. Confirm with OK.

Configuring Bluetooth

  1. Press Menu.
  2. Press the up or down arrows until Bluetooth appears. Confirm with OK.
  3. Press the up or down arrows until Automatic Reconnection appears. Confirm with OK.
  4. Press the up or down arrows until On appears. Confirm with OK.
