Refunding unused postage funds

Information on how unused postage is refunded following cancellation.

When you get a new franking machine or cancel your old one, Pitney Bowes starts the process of collecting your old machine.

  • A link will be provided via email to return the old machine. Once the collection is booked, a courier will be arranged to collect the old equipment. 
  • Pitney Bowes will send the used and unused readings from your franking machine to An Post. An Post will then send you a cheque for any unused postage funds.
    • Important: Cheque refunds from An Post may take up to 8 weeks.
