Moving from Postage by Phone® to Purchase Power®

Purchase Power explained

Purchase Power is a pay in arrears credit facility that eliminates the need for you to pay in advance for postage. This allows you to reset your postage meter as and when required, up to your credit limit.

You will receive an itemised monthly invoice, billing you for any purchases made since your last invoice.

Expand the option below to get answers to your frequently asked questions.

Will my postage account number change when switching to Purchase Power?

Yes, you will be given a new Purchase Power account number, which is 16 digits long, starting 633xxxxxxxxxxxxx.

When will I get billed?

One invoice is generated each month, billing you for any purchases made since your last invoice. If no purchases are made an invoice will not be generated for that month.

NOTE: The remittance advice for Purchase Power will be different from the Postage by Phone account. Please check the payment details on the invoice.

What will happen to any remaining funds in my current Postage by Phone Account?

Any remaining funds on your Postage by Phone account will be confirmed in your welcome email. You will then be asked to confirm where to send the balance due to you.

Will this change impact other Pitney Bowes invoices?

No, there will be no change to other Pitney Bowes invoices you currently receive. These will continue to bill as normal.

What fees may be applied on Purchase Power?

See below for information on any fees that may be applied and tips on how these can be avoided.

What is an overlimit fee?

An overlimit fee is charged when the account balance exceeds the Purchase Power Credit limit. The charge for the overlimit fee is €15 or 1% of the amount over your limit, whichever is greater. The account credit limit can be found in the top right-hand corner of your invoice.

💡 Tip: If your account frequently exceeds the credit limit, consider requesting a credit limit increase that will accommodate your monthly business needs. This can be done by Creating a Case within the Your Account online portal.

What is a late fee?

Where you fail to pay us any sum on its due date, we will charge you late payment interest calculated on an average daily balance basis at a rate of 0.0468% per day compounded monthly and also a late payment fee of €30 each time you pay late.

💡 Tip: Late fees may be avoided by setting up a Direct Debit within the Your Account online profile.
