Error Code: 0418420033, How to resolve on the Connect+ 500W, Connect+ 1000, and more

Issue

The Connect+® displays error code 0418--42-0033 and will not print.

Cause

The Connect+ is out of postal red ink.

Resolution

Replace the postal red ink cartridge:
  1. Selecting the Settings button on the Home screen
  2. Select Hardware
  3. Select Printer
  4. Select the Ink cartridges tab
  5. Select Replace ink cartridge
  6. Open the ink cartridge cover
  7. Remove the red ink cartridge
  8. The system warns you that the ink cartridge is not installed. Select Clear message.
  9. Remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging
  10. Hold the ink cartridge with the label facing upright and push into place
  11. Close the ink cartridge cover
  12. Select Print test sample to verify that you have installed the ink cartridge correctly
  13. Check the test sample. If the lines are solid and unbroken, the sample is acceptable. Select Image is OK - Done.
