Directions on how to weigh the ink cartridge on the DM300C, DM400C, and DM475

Learn how to weigh the ink cartridge on the DM300C, DM400C, and DM475.
Products affected: DM300C™, DM400C™, and DM475™
The ink cartridge can be weighed to tell if ink is remaining.
  1. Remove the scale
  2. Open the cover and select Replace ink tank
  3. Remove the ink cartridge, close the latch and then the cover
  4. Reinstall the scale
  5. Select Seal only mode
  6. Press Weight/Rate
  7. Place ink cartridge on the scale
  8. If the weight is not displayed, select Rate mail on scale
    • An empty ink cartridge weighs 49g
    • A full ink cartridge weighs 81g
  9. Remove the ink cartridge from scale platform and press Back
  10. If needed, select Exit seal only mode to return to home screen to be able to reinstall the ink cartridge
