Error Code: 2481, How to resolve on the DM100i and DM125

Learn how to resolve error code 2481 on the DM100i and DM125.

The meter displays error code 2481 and will not run mail.


The mail piece has skewed.


You may be able to clear the error by simply restarting your meter and clearing any jams. Follow these steps for a safe restart:
  1. Unplug the power cord
  2. Turn the jam release handle on the front of the meter clockwise, then check for any debris in the meter
  3. Using nonflammable compressed air blow out the mail path
  4. Make sure the mail piece is against the back wall and going through the meter straight
  5. Plug the power cord back in, ensuring that it is plugged directly into a wall outlet
