Resolving print head issues on the Connect+ series and SendPro P

Learn how to resolve print head errors on the Connect+ Series and SendPro P.

Issue

The Connect+ / SendPro™ P displays the following errors:
  • 04182-20-08D: right print head carriage detected an error.
  • 0418-22-008E: left print head carriage detected an error.
  • 0418-22-00B2: Printer unable to communicate with print head.
  • 0418220041, 0418420038, 0418220044

Cause

The meter has detected an issue with a print head.

Resolution

Follow these steps to clean the print head:
  1. From the Mailing tile on the Home screen, select Settings.
  2. Select Hardware.
  3. Select Printer.
  4. Select Print head.
  5. Select Clean.
Note: Print head cleaning takes approximately one minute. A progress bar indicates the cleaning status.
  1. When the cleaning process is complete, you are prompted to print a test sample.
