How to resolve Low Battery messages on the DM300C, DM400C, and more

Learn how to resolve Low battery and other battery messages on the DM300C, DM400C, and DM475.

Issue

The message UIC Battery Low, PSD Battery Low or Urgent Battery Warning means your battery must be replaced.

Cause

The internal battery is close to end of life.

Resolution

Press Clear to temporarily bypass the message
Once cleared, contact customer support from 8 am to 8 pm Eastern Time. Have your model number ready. Your meter needs be replaced.

Note: This is not a regular 9V battery and is not related to power. Unplugging the power cord will not affect the meter's data.
Note: You may continue using your meter until the replacement meter arrives.
