Error Code: 2482, How to resolve on the DM100i and DM125

Learn how to resolve error code 2482 on the DM100i and DM125.

Issue

The meter displays error code 2482, and will not run mail.

Cause

The mailing machine did not detect a mail piece.

Resolution

You may be able to resolve the error by clearing any jams in your meter.  Follow these steps:
  1. Remove the mail piece from the deck
  2. Clear the error and retry the mail piece
  3. If you are still having an issue, remove the mail piece from the deck, open the jam release lever, use non-flammable compressed air to blow out the envelope path and retry the mail piece

If your issue is not resolved, contact customer support from 8 am to 8 pm Eastern Time. Have your model number ready.
