Verifying your UPS account in PitneyShip Pro

As of June 3, 2024, UPS is implementing new standards for authorizing accounts. In order to continue shipping with UPS in PitneyShip Pro, you will need to update your UPS account on June 3, 2024 to comply with their new authorization system.
Products affected: PitneyShip™ Pro

UPS has revised security standards for shipping through products such as PitneyShip Pro. In order to ship with UPS in PitneyShip Pro, you must verify your UPS accounts.

If any UPS account is not used for 59 days or more, you will need to reverify it.

Before you begin:

  • To prepare for the UPS verification process, you will need the username and password for your UPS.com profile, as well as all of your UPS account numbers and the email address associated with each.
    • If you do not have a UPS.com profile, you will need to create one and register your UPS account(s) to it.
    • If you don't know your UPS account numbers, you can find them in PitneyShip Pro under Settings > Carriers. Select the edit icon to see the email address associated with the account.
    • If you have a multi-user or multi-location account, contact your administrator.
  • Important: If you have more than one UPS account number, they must all be registered under a single UPS profile (username) before they can be verified. If you need assistance consolidating your accounts under one profile, contact UPS. For instructions, see:
  1. Sign in to PitneyShip Pro.
  2. Select Settings > Carriers.
  3. Click on Verify next to any UPS account. You will be directed to a UPS Log In window.
  4. In the UPS Log In window, enter your UPS username.
Important: If you have more than one UPS account number, they must all be registered under the same UPS username. If you have not yet done so, return to the FAQ page for instructions.
  5. Check the box to agree to the conditions.
  6. Select Continue.
  7. In the Password window, enter your UPS password.
  8. Select Log In. Once the verification is complete, you will be returned to the Carriers page. All of the UPS accounts associated with that UPS username and password will be verified.
