Managing carriers in PitneyShip Enterprise
You can add, update, and delete carrier accounts as needed.

This article only applies to the warehouse fulfillment version of PitneyShip Enterprise.
Adding a carrier account
In order to ship with a carrier in PitneyShip Enterprise, you first need to set up your carrier account in PitneyShip Enterprise.
- Select Settings > Carriers.
- Select Add Carrier.
- If necessary, select More Carrier(s).
- If you have need to add a shipping carrier for a location in another country, select the country from the Location Country menu. You will only see this menu if you have already set up one or more locations in a country other than the one your location is in.
- In the Carrier Display Name field, enter a name for the account.
- From the Select Carrier menu, select the carrier you wish to add.
- Under Access Level, choose who will have access to this account:
- Enterprise: All divisions, locations, and roles will have access to this account
- Division: Select the division(s) that you want to have access to this account
- Location: Select the location(s) that you want to have access to this account
- Enter the required carrier account information.
- Select the box to accept the terms.
- Select Add Carrier.

Activating and deactivating carriers
Enterprise Administrators can activate or deactivate carriers. This allows administrators to continue viewing and managing carrier configurations even when the carrier is not currently in use. When a carrier is inactive, it remains visible in the carrier list but is not available for creating orders or labels.
Important: Activating or deactivating a carrier does not change the status of its associated carrier accounts.
Note: If a carrier has reached its shipment limit, you cannot activate or deactivate the carrier.
- Select Settings > Carriers.
- Select the slider in the Active column next to the carrier you wish to activate or deactivate to change it.
- Select Save.
Activating and deactivating carrier accounts
Individual carrier accounts must be deactivated separately from carriers.
Note: If a carrier account has reached its shipment limit, you cannot activate or deactivate the carrier account.
- Select Settings > Carriers.
- Click the arrow to the right of the carrier whose account you wish to edit.
- Select the slider icon next to the account.
- Select Active or Inactive.
- Select Save.
Editing a carrier account
You can update carrier account information if needed.
- Select Settings > Carriers.
- Click the arrow to the right of the carrier whose account you wish to edit.
- Select the Edit Carrier icon next to the carrier you wish to edit.
- To edit all of the carrier accounts under this carrier, select the checkbox at the top of the account list, then select the Bulk Edit Preferences button.
- To change the package types and services that an account is allowed to use, select the slider icon next to the account.
If doing a bulk edit, select the Allow editing ____ box, then choose the options you want to allow. This will overwrite any current selections in that category. - Update the information as needed.
- Select Save.
Deleting a carrier account
If you no longer need a carrier account, you can delete it, provided you have sufficient Admin rights.
- Select Settings > Carriers.
- Click the arrow to the right of the carrier whose account you wish to edit.
- Select the Delete Carrier icon next to the carrier you wish to delete.
- To delete all of the carrier accounts under this carrier, select the checkbox at the top of the account list, then select the Delete button.
- Select Delete to confirm.
Exporting carrier accounts
You can export your carrier account information if needed.
- Select Settings > Carriers.
- Select Export.
- Save the file as directed by your web browser.
