PitneyShip Enterprise Release Notes for version 1.130.0 (August 27, 2026).

What's New

Consignee Type for EU-Bound International Shipments

This enhancement adds a new Consignee Type option for eligible international shipments destined for European Union (EU) countries, helping customers meet EU customs compliance requirements. The feature is available for applicable UPS, Royal Mail Group (RMG), and Parcelforce shipments.

When creating an eligible shipment, users can identify the recipient as either Business (B2B) or Consumer (B2C). The Consignee Type field is optional, has no default selection, and does not prevent users from completing shipment processing if left blank.

The selected Consignee Type is saved with the shipment and displayed in Shipment History. This feature is also supported across multiple workflows, including Export, Ship Another, Presets, Ship Orders, and multi-piece shipments.

Enhanced Bulk Contact deletion and management

This enhancement improves Bulk Contact Deletion by enabling large volumes of contacts to be deleted more efficiently and reliably. Previously, bulk deletion requests involving thousands of contacts could fail due to processing limitations. With this update, large-scale deletion requests are processed asynchronously, improving performance, scalability, and reliability.

The contact management experience has also been streamlined with new deletion options, including Delete All Shared Contacts, Delete All Private Contacts, and Delete Selected Contacts. Users can specify whether deletion applies to recipients or recipients and senders, while maintaining existing protections for sender records where applicable.

Additional controls have been introduced for shared contacts, allowing administrators to restrict contact visibility to specific user roles. To help prevent accidental data loss, verified sender contacts are now protected from bulk deletion and can only be removed individually. Existing sender deletion behavior remains unchanged, ensuring consistency for current workflows and plan-specific requirements.

Latest Updates

Enhanced Third-Party Billing support for Purolator Freight

This enhancement improves Purolator Freight shipments by adding support for Third-Party Billing Address information in Shipment History. When users select Bill To > Third Party, they must provide the required third-party billing address details before the shipment can be processed.

Once the shipment is completed, the Third-Party Billing Address is saved and displayed in Shipment History, providing users with improved visibility and reference information for billed shipments.

This only applies to the warehouse fulfillment version of PitneyShip Enterprise.

Enhanced Freight Carrier management in Carrier preferences

This enhancement expands Carrier Preferences to include freight carrier accounts, such as Purolator Freight and FedEx Freight, giving administrators greater visibility and control over carrier configurations from a centralized location.

Freight carrier accounts now appear alongside parcel carrier accounts within Carrier preferences. Enterprise Administrators can activate or deactivate freight carriers directly from the Carrier configuration screen without removing existing account configurations. Inactive carriers remain visible for reference but cannot be used for shipment activities such as rate shopping or label generation. Reactivating a carrier restores it for shipment processing, and carrier account statuses remain unchanged when a carrier is activated or deactivated.

The enhancement also simplifies administration by organizing freight accounts under their respective carrier cards, allowing individual account preferences to be edited and included in exports when applicable filters are selected. Existing Enterprise, Division, and Location permission controls continue to govern carrier account management.

This only applies to the warehouse fulfillment version of PitneyShip Enterprise.

Enhanced Address Book Search experience

This enhancement improves the Address Book search experience by making it faster and easier for users to find contacts during shipping workflows. Search results are now automatically ranked by relevance, eliminating the need to manually select Begins With, Contains, or Ends With search filters.

The updated search logic prioritizes contacts that begin with the search term, followed by contacts that contain the term, and then those that end with it. When a contact matches multiple criteria, the most relevant result is displayed first. These improvements provide a more intuitive search experience while continuing to return a complete set of matching contacts.
